Android Security Bulletin (December 2018)

Twenty-four(24) vulnerabilities were reported in components of Android, including framework, media framework, system, HTC components, Kernel components, and Qualcomm components. Twenty-nine (29) vulnerabilities were reported in Qualcomm closed-source components. The most severe of these issues is a critical security vulnerability in Media framework that could enable a remote attacker using a specially crafted file to execute arbitrary code within the context of a privileged process. It is advised to update.

Ubuntu: Security updates for libssh, Ghostscript, OpenJDK, samba, systemd, Git, WebKitGTK+, and QEMU.
Oracle Linux: Security updates for qemu, sos-collector, Unbreakable Enterprise kernel, NetworkManager, and ghostscript.
Archlinux: Security updates for samba and powerdns-recursor.
Red Hat: Security updates for ruby, rh-ruby25-ruby, rh-ruby24-ruby, rh-ruby23-ruby, rh-nginx114-nginx, rh-nginx112-nginx, .NET Core on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, ghostscript, kernel-rt, NetworkManager, kernel, sos-collector,  kernel-alt, java-1.7.1-ibm, rh-mysql57-mysql, rh-nginx110-nginx, rh-nginx18-nginx, and chromium-browser.

SUSE: Security updates for SDL_image, java-1_8_0-ibm, openssl, Linux kernel, salt, SUSE Manager Server 3.1, libwpd, ImageMagick, openssh, and squid.
Archlinux: Security updates for webkit2gtk, flashplugin, lib32-libtiff, libtiff, chromium, and grafana.
Oracle Linux: Security updates for thunderbird and qemu.

 
Chrome Security Updates

Chrome has released security updates for Chrome Desktop (70.0.3538.110) for Windows, Mac, and Linux,  Chrome 70(70.0.3538.110) for Android, and Chrome OS (70.0.3538.110/ Platform version: 11021.81.0) for most Chrome OS devices. It is advised to update to the latest version.

 
Adobe Security Updates

Adobe has released security updates for Adobe Flash Player(APSB18-44) for Windows, macOS, Linux and Chrome OS. These updates address a critical vulnerability in Adobe Flash Player 31.0.0.148 and earlier versions. Attackers may be able to execute arbitrary code on the target system. Users are advised to update software installations to the latest versions.
