The Macau Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre (MOCERT) held a seminar to highlight the risks and exposures that all organizations and individual users face with regard to malicious intrusions on their websites on 28th June 2010, at Manetic.

“A great deal of web servers in Macao will readily offer information about their versions and services, of which if not updated, over time, become vulnerable to attack.” Mr. Geoffroy Thonon, Principle Consultant of Manetic.

Therefore, MOCERT responded to this problem with seminar that demonstrates, to technical personnel as well as to the public, how data may be collected by hackers and how to use the same techniques to update and better protect their own website as the first step in addressing this potential security problem.
