Macau Computer Emergency Response Team (MOCERT) was invited to speak at the 3rd APT Cybersecurity Forum held in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Macau. The speeches, were delivered by the Principal Consultant of MOCERT, Geoffroy Thonon, in front of related industry as well as Ministries of Telecommunication of economies from the Asia Pacific region. The first speech centred around the computer incidents handled in Macau by MOCERT. The second speech was delivered by MOCERT on behalf of Asia Pacific Computer Emergency Response Teams (APCERT), an association of CERT, about their activities and the vision of the APCERT group. Both presentations together demonstrated that indeed as innovation drives the telecommunications industry forward, this benefit may be on borrowed time should security issues in cyberspace not be resolved.
